Black Hat World Forum Review

Posted by

Black Hat World is a very interesting place for webmasters to hang out. I would say it’s an ESSENTIAL place for any black hatter to visit almost daily. The tactics that are posted there are very interesting and often quite innovative. A lot happens in the chat room via IRC so stuff there doesn’t get picked up by the search engines and made public.

The strength of Black Hat World is it’s free and open to the public. There is a hierarchy, naturally, as there are the admins and moderators, the VIP members, the Jr. VIP members, the Donors, and the new free members. Anybody can earn spots to the top with hard work and demonstrations of Black Hat competence.

The site has become a haven for webmaster warez unfortunately since a lot of high quality webmaster products get posted there to share. There is no reputation system except for counting the number of times a member has been “thanked” for their posts, usually an indication of respect. The hierarchy also shows how much each member is respected.

Many high ticket products and services are sold, so be very careful when buying anything costing more than $100. A few scammers have taken members for a few thousand dollars in that forum. I’ve never been scammed because I’m always very cautious. Some of the high-ticket items are very worthwhile though, so be on the lookout but distrust as much as possible to stay safe.

Another drawback is that the site leaders definitely have their own club and are slow to let anybody else in. This keeps that group strong but excludes the majority of members – call it hacker paranoia.

There is a lot shared and a lot to learn from Black Hat World. I recommend it to all webmasters who engage in the “dark side” of internet marketing.

I rate it an 8.5/10

Here’s the fastest way I know of to get to the top of the search engines.

1. Create a good keyword optimized page on a parasite host. I recommend using Squidoo or Hubpages.

2. Use LOTS of tags.

3. Include a link to whatever you’re selling in each module, and use your main keywords in those links.

4. Ping the page. (Usually handled automatically)

5. Get lots of keyword-rich backlinks to your page fast. The best way to do this in my opinion is to use a blog farm. A great blog farming program is the Blogger Generator package. You can create hundreds of Blogger blogs in a matter of minutes, then automatically post articles to them (which can be quickly taken from EzineArticles.com using the BG Article Grabber) and then use the Blog Poster Pro that comes in the package to post an article to each blog with 1 or 2 links maximum per article.

6. Ping all of the blogs in your farm, the Blogger Generator Pinger tool is great for this too.

This is an easy-as-pie way to rank for long term phrases and what we call “new” keywords. “New” keywords are things that pop up on Google trends that nobody has ever optimized for, usually related to the news and recent events.

No paid traffic involved and easy 1st page rankings achieved. The only paid tool I recommend for this is Blogger Generator or any other automated blog farming program. IT WORKS.

Project Black Mask

Project Black Mask brings two words to mind:

STOO PID

OK, maybe just one word. OLD!

You would have thought that a 97 page ebook would teach a little more than the most basic principles and concepts of Black Hat SEO for Google Adsense. If you’ve never heard of blogging, cloaking, link spamming, or automation, then maybe you’ll glean some benefit from the program. I just felt deceived.

The whole point of Project Black Mask is to sell the off-the-shelf black hat programs. Chris gives a brief idea of what you need to do, then hits you with affiliate links for programs you’ll need to make it happen. That works on n00bs but not on experienced webmasters – especially Black Hatters.

A glaring defect is that there’s no instruction on how to customize the templates you’ll be using. If you do it the way it’s presented, you’ll leave footprints all over the internet – allowing companies to crush your empire in one fell swoop. Can you say “w00t” for Google?

The manual also says you need fly-catcher pages (opt-ins or squeeze pages), spam to .edu sites, buy backlinks that have high Google page rank (we all know Google loves that…) and to cultivate a blog farm. Sadly, none of these techniques are taught. It’s a manual marketed to introduce n00bs to black hat but the real purpose is to sell black hat tools to n00bs who won’t be able to use them properly.

I don’t really think the author of this book does what he says he does, and just scraped content from the sndyk8.net forum or outsourced the creation of the book to someone.

Notably, there is no mention of many of the most popular sites such as Myspace or Youtube etc. That leaves a lot out since those are two of black hatters favorite sites.

The price for this product has earned it a spot on the shit list. If it was $10 like The Rich Jerk whose ebook is also targeted to n00bs to sell lots of tools, then I could approve it. But since the point is to exploit the pocketbooks of impressionable black hat n00bs with an initial high price tag then requiring more money to implement the strategies, this manual is going in the toilet.

I give Project Black Mask a 2/10

This site serves as a source of truth regarding tools, products, and services of interest to marketers who use “black hat” tactics.
