The Domain Name System (DNS) associates various information with domain names; most importantly, it serves as the “phone book” for the Internet by translating human-readable computer hostnames, e.g. www.example.com, into IP addresses, e.g. 208.77.188.166, which networking equipment needs to deliver information. A DNS also stores other information such as the list of mail servers that accept email for a given domain. By providing a worldwide keyword-based redirection service, the Domain Name System is an essential component of contemporary Internet use. (source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domain_name_system )

Here’s Dan Kaminsky presenting more about the DNS vulnerability. He says the WHOLE internet is potentially SCREWED. This could be a big deal in the wrong hands.

There are lots of ways to make money from your black hat sites. You can use search rankings to overcome competitors and sell your own stuff. You can monetize your site with paid ads using Pay-per-click or CPA ads. You can scrape feeds from major sites that have affiliate programs such as Amazon or eBay. Some even dare to enter in the dangerous realm of affiliate cookie stuffing…

To make any kind of decent black hat money, you usually need to have some advanced webmaster skills like the ability to write scripts, or just code in general. Most webmasters aren’t that advanced when they’re just starting to look at black hat marketing, so what’s a good introduction into the field?

Here’s one method you can use:

1. Get an Adsense account. You can do this by setting up a blogger blog and post to it once a day for a week with good unique content. Once you’re approved, blog occasionally there to look legitimate.

2. Buy an established wordpress blog. There are lots for sale at the sitepoint marketplace.

3. Automate it using plugins such as WP-O-Matic to post from RSS Feeds

4. Add Adsense to the template bit by bit

This is the easiest way I know of to get a self-growing website that makes some money.

Here’s the fastest way I know of to get to the top of the search engines.

1. Create a good keyword optimized page on a parasite host. I recommend using Squidoo or Hubpages.

2. Use LOTS of tags.

3. Include a link to whatever you’re selling in each module, and use your main keywords in those links.

4. Ping the page. (Usually handled automatically)

5. Get lots of keyword-rich backlinks to your page fast. The best way to do this in my opinion is to use a blog farm. A great blog farming program is the Blogger Generator package. You can create hundreds of Blogger blogs in a matter of minutes, then automatically post articles to them (which can be quickly taken from EzineArticles.com using the BG Article Grabber) and then use the Blog Poster Pro that comes in the package to post an article to each blog with 1 or 2 links maximum per article.

6. Ping all of the blogs in your farm, the Blogger Generator Pinger tool is great for this too.

This is an easy-as-pie way to rank for long term phrases and what we call “new” keywords. “New” keywords are things that pop up on Google trends that nobody has ever optimized for, usually related to the news and recent events.

No paid traffic involved and easy 1st page rankings achieved. The only paid tool I recommend for this is Blogger Generator or any other automated blog farming program. IT WORKS.

This site serves as a source of truth regarding tools, products, and services of interest to marketers who use “black hat” tactics.
